Test stand for all types of refrigerants commissioned
In March 2025, we commissioned our expanded test stand for Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT). During FAT, the complete functionality of a system is verified under real operating conditions to ensure compliance with all technical specifications and quality requirements. The tests are carried out under near-realistic conditions prior to delivery and serve as the foundation for a smooth commissioning process at the customer’s site.
Our new test stand enables us to test systems with all common refrigerants – including synthetic refrigerants as well as natural, flammable refrigerants such as propane, butane, isobutane, and pentane. The protection of our employees remains our top priority: both the sensor technology and the safety concept are specifically designed to address the properties of flammable refrigerants, minimizing risks during daily operations. A specialized enclosure equipped with an exhaust system and gas detection sensors ensures maximum safety: if refrigerant leakage occurs, it is automatically detected, an alarm is triggered the heat pump is shut down, and the refrigerant is safely extracted. Most recently, our facility was successfully used to test the system for the AHEAD project.
