Climate change and the rising cost of fossil fuels pose major challenges to the industry in terms of cost efficiency, energy consumption and emissions. SPH has developed a solution with its high-temperature heat pump: The ThermBoosterTM recycles unused waste heat from production processes and uses it to generate process heat in the form of steam and hot water at temperatures of up to 200°C.
Until now, industrial heat pumps have been limited to output temperatures of less than 100°C, while the majority of process heat requirements demand temperatures of 100°C-200°C. SPH closes precisely this gap with the ThermBoosterTM. This is made possible by a proprietary high-temperature piston compressor combined with innovative process technology.
